about my granny-a-day project

For 2011, I have decided to crochet a granny square each day.  I hope to increase my skills by making lots of different patterns, and I also want to experiment with making granny square sampler afghans.  I'm in the process of putting together my first blanket from the squares, and it is quite a learning experience.  I have not found many resources about joining squares from different patterns.  If you come across any, please share them with me!  I've blogged about how I'm doing it and am creating a tutorial I will blog about soon.  You can find all of my posts about this project here, on Ravelry here, and on Flickr here.  I am choosing patterns and yarn colors as I go based on what appeals to me at the moment.  I am making 6-, 8-, and 10-inch squares, all with my trusty size H Clover hook (unless otherwise noted).

I really appreciate that these super nice people have taken the time to write and blog about the stuff I'm making!  (I never mind if anyone uses my photos as long as they link back to me.)  If you have written something about my granny-a-day project, let me know and I will add the link here!  :)
