Pattern: "Granny Square 29" from 99 Granny Squares to Crochet from Leisure Arts.
Yay for star blocks! I had to modify this pattern to make it 6" by 6". Making all of these different squares is really helping me to figure out how to make my own patterns. One of the things I love about crochet is that it is not necessarily an exact science, and there is usually more than one way to make it work!

Beautiful! I love that about crochet, too. Figuring things out and tweaking them comes much more easily to me in crochet than in knitting.
