Pattern: "Puffy Square" by Patrizia Pisani.

I love turning single color blocks into ones with multiple colors! I totally screwed up the puff stitches at the corners of this square, but judging from the example photo, maybe that's what made mine more square and less roundish.

Lots of the squares I have made have been finished off with a final round that includes corners with 3 or 5 stitches and no gap in the center. I found that made it harder to crochet into the corner when I joined them together. From now on I'm going to alter the corners to include a stitch or two between an even number of stitches on either side. This block needed a little more pointiness in the corners, so I used 2sc, ch 2, 2sc. It would be even more perfectly square if I weren't feeling too lazy to block it!

  2. Thanks! Puff stitches are fun to do, too! I'm really partial to blocks that have flowers, so I love this one. I love the jade colored yarn in the flower and the border. Basically, I love this square!
