236::365 lacy granny square

Pattern: "Lacy Grannies" from Crochet Today! Jan/Feb 2008.

You are supposed to make this pattern with crochet thread to make a bookmark or a bracelet, but in worsted weight yarn it will fit in just fine with the other squares I have been making lately for my new sampler afghan. I'm going to have to add another round of some kind of solid stitches. I think 3dc in each chain space and 3dc, ch3, 3dc in the corners will work well for this square.

Below is only a small portion of the squares I have made in these colors. I need to join them to the rest! It is like every afghan I make becomes my new favorite, and I don't think this one will be an exception!

lots of squares

  1. Beautiful squares! I love the one with a flower and leaves... thanks for the link too! Your crochet skills are way above mine... that must be an excuse for more practise :)x

    Very pretty again

  3. The squares look like they were meant to be together. Great colors.

Thank you so much for taking time to leave a comment!
